报告内容：this talk will discuss some of the most hotly debated topics over the past few years on syntactico-semantic change in a functional-cognitive perspective(功能—认知方法)and propose a new model of grammatical change in chinese by providing more solidly-based definitions of such notions as ‘grammaticalization’(语法化), ‘lexicalization’(词汇化), ‘degrammaticalization’ (去语法化), ‘exaptation’ (功能更新), and ‘reanalysis’ (重新分析), as well as ‘analogy’ (类推) with respect to internal processes of change, but also for external ones, specifically, borrowing (外借) through language contact or contact-induced change (接触引发的演变).

 the main motivations (if not genuine explanations) for grammatical change will also be discussed, i.e. semantic-pragmatic change (语义–语用演变, including mainly metaphorical extension(隐喻联想), pragmatic inferencing (语用推理) or metonymization and (inter)-subjectification (互相主观化), as well as others, such as phonological change (语音演变).

报告人简介：现为法国国家科研中心(cnrs)和法国高等社会科学研究院(ehess)研究员，欧洲研究理事会(erc)22个委员之一，主要研究领域为中国和东亚语言学。1984年获法国国家博士学位。1984-1998年任东亚语言学研究所的所长，1997年以来任法国国家科研中心人文社会科学部的副主任，1998-1999年被选为中国语言学国际联合会(international association of chinese linguistics)主席。曾多次到美国、澳大利亚、香港、台湾、中国大陆等地讲学，是cahiers de linguistique - asie orientale, journal of chinese linguistics, international review of chinese linguistics等丛书和杂志的主编或编委。
